Wireless Origination
Entellium announces mobile product
Mortgage originating is moving from laptop computers to small wireless devices -- enabling loan officers to immediately capture and service mortgage leads.
Entellium recently teamed up with Verizon to offer eMobile, its wireless customer relationship management solution that enables brokers to receive new leads, track their pipeline and set up e-mail campaigns using a cellular phone connection.
The wireless solution works with the Palm Treo, the BlackBerry or the new Motorola Q and is priced at about half the cost of its competitors -- $75 a month per user with free 24/7 customer support and online live chat, Entellium executive Natalee Roan told MortgageDaily.com.
Roan said eSalesforce, the company's Web-based CRM solution since 2004 that houses the main system for eMobile, has won awards for its usability, customer service and value.
The Seattle, Wash.-based mortgage-technology provider itself was listed in NetworkWorld.com's top five "Wireless Companies to Watch" for 2006.
Entellium says eMobile was designed with the ease of use in mind, allowing for one-handed navigation without the use of a stylus.
And as soon as a lead form is filled out, either by the applicant (on the broker's Web site), a referral source or the broker, it is captured on the system and ready to be accessed via the broker's smart phone, Roan explained.
"Now that the market is so much more competitive, it's important that they manage each lead as soon as it comes in the door," Roan said. "We give them that ability and to track each lead, its progress and the source of its origination.
"And if they were able to manage 25 leads a month before using our CRM solution, our job -- using automation -- is to significantly boost that to 35 or 40 a month."
Mike Colagrassi, owner of Bellevue, Wash.-based First Rate Financial, told MortgageDaily.com he found the product solution to be a lot more useful than he anticipated and said it saves him and his colleagues noticeable time and effort while on the road.
Colagrassi admitted that he isn't very "tech savvy" but said the deployment of the initial application was "very, very easy."
The product seamlessly integrated with Entellium's Web-based application his company has been using for the last 7 months and it's much more convenient than "dragging a laptop around," he commented.
The ability to customize it to how they do business was also a feature Colagrassi said he enjoyed. "We do a lot of out of state direct mail and telemarketing, we have the ability to track (the source) and tailor the application to a mini 1003."
While on vacation he has access to reports, new leads and tracks who created the leads, how many had been updated and can review the productivity of his employees as well, he said.
"We've found it useful when out at a Realtor's office, we used to have to take the lead cards and bring them back to the office to enter into the system," Colagrassi added. "Now we can do that on the spot with the mobile."
